Afghanistan Humanitarian Project

American military personnel in Afghanistan have been providing humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people through setting up hospitals, orphanages and refugee camps. There is a great need for survival items such as clothing, food, school supplies and small toys which the military personnel can distribute to the people. The Goodwill Stores sell clothing at half price on the third Wednesday of the month. The Dollar Tree is a good source for school supplies, socks, etc. If you add a self-addressed envelope, you might get a reply (no need for a stamp). On the customs form, lower right hand corner marked “If Non-Deliverable” write “Any Chaplain”. If you have questions, please contact Marilyn VanHoozer at 817-292-1011.

USO Book Project

Children’s Books and all donations for book purchases will be welcomed at any time. We are supporting the USO and the United for Reading Project on a continuing basis.

Help Our Troops Call Home

Old Cell Phones & Electronics Needed

Do you have an old cell phone, MP3 player or an iPod just laying around your home or office, and you no longer have any use for it? Care to recycle it? Participate in a worthy community cause and national campaign called “Cell Phones for Soldiers,” which recycles old cell phones and related devices, repairs them, and then helps our troops call home.
